Wesco was established in 1959 by the Sambuccetti family in Woodland California as a retail trailer sales company. Shortly thereafter a small manufacturing facility was built to construct flatbeds, grain hoppers, and specialty trailers. Over time the plant was expanded to allow greater production to match the demand for high quality WESCO equipment. As the reputation grew, so did the opportunity to add new product lines. Self-unloading WALKING FLOOR® trailers and possum belly tipper trailers were developed for the refuse and agricultural industry, with engineering built into every trailer. The next addition to the WESCO family was the aggregate line of transfer systems and dump bodies. Again more space was needed and the new fabrication shop was built and filled with state of the art metal working equipment and a plasma burning table. To keep pace with the premium quality paint needs, WESCO was forced to install a new high tech 60" down draft paint booth and building in 1993.
In July 2010 Wesco Trailer Manufacturing and Sales was acquired by Orchard Machinery Corporation better known as OMC. With a combined total of over 100 years of manufacturing OMC leads the market in providing innovative and versatile products. Acquiring Wesco adds to the repertoire of equipment available to all OMC customers.
